Power supply board for Harman Kardon HKTS 200 / 230 & 210 / 230 SUB

Rebuilt from the original drawing 104-A05317B00V. Covers the single most common failure of the HKTS 20 / 30 / 60 subwoofers: the D4 Schottky rectifier failing short.

This is the switch-mode supply of the HKTS 200 SUB/230 and HKTS 210 SUB/230 active subwoofers — the subwoofer modules of the HKTS 20, HKTS 30 and HKTS 60 home theatre systems, also sold separately between 2010 and 2017. The original assembly numbers are 050-A05317B-E (SMD side) and 051-A05317B-E (full assembly); our board is rebuilt to the original bare-board drawing 104-A05317B00V.

The dominant failure is well documented in owner forums: the D4 Schottky rectifier (an MBR1200, a 1 A part with almost no thermal margin) fails short and takes the mains fuse with it. Symptom: no power, no standby LED, dead silent. Our rebuild populates the rectifier position with a 5 A device on enlarged copper, and specifies 105 °C low-ESR reservoir capacitors throughout.

Every unit is bench-tested at 230 V under load before it ships. The board is single-sided FR4 1.6 mm with OSP finish, exactly like the original process. A 120 V version and the wireless-receiver variant are available on request — both existed in the original production BOM.

Questions that come up before a first order

Will this board fit my unit without modification?

Yes, if your model appears in the fitment list above. The boards are rebuilt from the original production drawings, so footprint, mounting holes and connector set match the original. If your model is not listed, use the model matcher or send us a photo — we answer before you order.

What warranty do I get?

24 months from delivery against manufacturing defect, for both consumer and trade buyers. A board that fails in normal use is replaced rather than debated.

How do I know whether I need the power board, the amplifier board or the control board?

Measure the supply rails first. If the correct DC voltage is present at the amplifier input, the supply is healthy and the fault is downstream. If the unit is completely dead, start with the supply — and remember the control board supervises start-up, so a replaced supply that still will not start points at the control board. If you are unsure, send us a photo and we will tell you before you order.

Do you ship outside the EU?

Yes. We ship worldwide, but EU and UK orders ship from local stock with duties and import VAT settled by us. Orders to other regions may attract local duties payable on delivery.

Can I buy a single board if I'm not a business?

Of course. Trade pricing starts at 10 units, but private customers and individual technicians order single boards every day at the retail price shown.

Repairs on mains-powered equipment carry a serious shock risk. Work only with the unit unplugged and the reservoir capacitors discharged, or leave it to a qualified technician.
